Please read before you apply.

About the Saskatoon Fringe – August 2 – 12, 2007
Our festival is located in the historically rich Broadway area of Saskatoon, which includes an exciting mix of small shops, restaurants and pubs. Our five indoor venues are within walking distance of each other and range in size from 100 to 200 seats. We host a range of outdoor activities (busker, craft and food vendors) that attract an audience of 40,000 in addition to our indoor theatre audience of 16,000.

We will host 50 companies, accepted by first come first served basis to equally represent Canadian and International artists. Three spaces are reserved for KidsFringe shows and two spaces for our Youth Arts Initiative Program.

New Show Schedule
Each performance group will receive six show times in our new show schedule, specifically developed for Fringe 2007. All requests for scheduling amendments related to late arrival and early departure will be considered with appropriate notice. The program print deadline will determine the final date for adjustments, therefore requests for amendments should be formally addressed to Performer Relations for consideration.

Rehearsals, Rehearsal Schedule and Cue Sheets
Each performance group can select a one, two or three hour rehearsal. Rehearsals will begin on Monday July 30 for local groups and continue through to the afternoon of August 2 for travelling performers. We ask that performers provide cue sheets outlining the sound and lighting cues for your show to our Technical Director. This allows our staff to have a complete understanding of your show and the specific needs related to the rehearsal, venue, equipment, and technical expertise.

Billeting Services
We include billeting services as part of the experience in Saskatoon for performers who chose this opportunity. While we make every attempt to billet performers, and any others directly related to the production of your show such as stage managers, we cannot guarantee to place everyone. Please be advised that placement with billets can occur up until the beginning of the Festival.

Performer Payment Schedule and Advances

All cheques are to be picked up in the on-site administration office/festival box office. The Saskatoon Fringe Theatre Festival will provide a $150.00 cash advance to performers who request this service before May 1. Advances will be available for pickup on August 2, 2007.

Payment One: For all shows between August 2 and August 6 inclusive, will be after 2:00 pm on August 7, 2007
